Hinweis: Die angegebenen Nährwerte sind Richtwerte und können je nach verwendeten Produkten, Portionsgröße und Zubereitung abweichen.

    Zubereitung

    1

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius, using conventional heat.

    2
Now prepare a flaxseed egg. Simply stir the flaxseed into hot water and let it swell for a few minutes.
    3

Meanwhile, melt the coconut oil in a small saucepan on the stove or in the microwave.

    4
In the meantime, you can mix all the dry ingredients (oats, protein powder, salt, nuts, etc.).
    5

Then add the coconut oil, milk alternative, nut butter, and your flaxseed egg, and knead until you have a proper dough.

    6
Now it's time to taste your dough and, if necessary, add some maple syrup to sweeten it. It should taste good to you, so sweeten it according to your personal preference!
    7

You're almost there: Now simply place this mixture on a baking sheet and press it down firmly with a spoon (important!) so that it is about 1.5 cm high.

    8

Now bake the protein bars for 15-20 minutes, until they look golden brown.

    9

After baking, all you have to do is let the bars cool, cut them into bar shapes, and your breakfast for the next few days is ready.

If you like, you can garnish your bars with some melted dark chocolate, nut butter, and other toppings (berries…).

    Recipe Note

It is best to store the bars well wrapped in the refrigerator and consume them within the next few days!

Making protein-rich bars yourself can be this easy!

    Variations

The great thing about this recipe is that there are endless variations of this delicious protein bar. Simply swap the protein powder, special ingredients (nuts,…) and toppings and create your own type of bar. This way, you can make all kinds of protein bars yourself - whether chocolatey or fruity, anything is possible.

Need inspiration? Here are my favorites:

    • Chocolate: a chocolatey version with chocolate protein powder and cacao nibs or melted chocolate as a topping

    • Berries: fruity and fresh with berry protein powder and a handful of dried berries

    • Hazelnut: pleasantly nutty with hazelnut protein powder, chopped hazelnuts, and nut butter

    • Banana: super sweet with banana protein powder and dried banana pieces

    • Tropical: exotic with dried fruit pieces (pineapple, mango, …) - an instant holiday feeling

    • Cinnamon: festive with cinnamon protein powder and dried apple pieces

    • Neutral: completely neutral for every taste - with neutral protein powder and other ingredients of your choice

    About this recipe

We love protein bars! That's why we're fully committed to making protein bars ourselves - you can find our result here.

What makes our vegan protein bar recipe so special?

    • They're delicious - that's the most important thing!

    • The oats are rich in fiber!

    • Vetain's protein powder makes the bars really high in protein!

    • The flaxseed egg contains healthy omega-3 fatty acids and provides an extra protein boost.

    • The nuts and seeds contain healthy fats and are also rich in protein - you can see that protein is a major focus here - it's no coincidence that our bars are called protein bars.

To me, these are the best protein bars of all the protein bar recipes I have ever tried.

Have you changed your mind and decided you don't feel like baking and making protein bars yourself after all? No problem! Then take a look at our shop for vegan protein products and browse through our protein bar section.

    • plant-based milk alternative → milk in all forms and varieties, both plant-based and animal-based

    • maple syrup → honey, agave syrup, or anything else that's sweet

No, you can bake your bars with our protein powder with a clear conscience. The proteins are not lost and you continue to benefit from the good properties of the protein powder. We even often recommend using our protein powder for baking to easily increase the protein content of a meal and meet your daily protein needs.

If you make protein bars yourself, it has a few advantages: it's cheaper than buying high-quality products, you know exactly what's in the bars, and you can adapt the bars to your own taste and preferences. Plus, making your own protein bars is really fun - especially with your loved ones.

Add a little more coconut oil, nut butter, milk alternative or another flaxseed egg to the dough! Before baking, press the dough firmly into the baking pan and wait until the bars have cooled completely before cutting. That should help!
