Vegan Protein Powder with a Brain: What’s in it?

Vegan protein powder used to be a compromise between a clear conscience and great taste. Time to change that. Our Vegan Protein is an organic plant-based protein powder that’s just as at home in a shaker as it is in porridge. Its foundation is fermented pea protein. But a vegan protein powder made from peas alone would be too one-dimensional for us, so we bring fava beans, pumpkin seeds and golden flaxseed into the mix.

Why four? Because teamwork works for amino acids, too. Pea protein is high in lysine but tends to be low in methionine, and the other plant proteins make up for that. Combining several plant proteins creates a vegan protein powder with all nine essential amino acids. These are exactly the amino acids your body can’t produce itself, or can’t produce in sufficient quantities. Each 30 g serving contains between 20 and 23 g of protein depending on the variety.

Vegan Protein Powder without Sucralose, Soy or Frills

A short ingredient list, a long-lasting friendship: Our protein contains only what belongs there. It’s gently sweetened with monk fruit. The result is a natural protein powder that tastes like its ingredients, not a burst of artificial sweetener.

What you’ll find in the tub and what you won’t:

    • Organic plant proteins from peas, fava beans, pumpkin seeds and golden flaxseed
    • Natural flavors and monk fruit for a mild sweetness
    • No sucralose, no aspartame, no added sugar
    • Lactose-free, gluten-free and soy-free

Because we developed a vegan protein powder without soy, you can enjoy it even if soy is banned from your home. Made and lab-tested in Germany and listed on the Cologne List: a natural protein powder you won’t have to scrutinize the fine print to trust.

Vegan Protein or Whey: Does it really have to be Whey?

Is protein powder vegetarian? Classic whey is, but it isn’t vegan. Whey protein is made from whey, so it’s vegetarian but not vegan. Strictly speaking, there’s no such thing as vegan whey protein, because whey is still whey, no matter how nicely you ask. Our vegan protein powder is the plant-based answer.

And can peas compete with cows? With a well-balanced blend and a suitable serving, you can easily meet your protein needs. And that matters, because Protein contributes to the increase and maintenance of muscle mass. For your protein shake without milk, water is all you need to mix it with, but oat drink makes it a little creamier. Some of our customers used to be devoted whey fans and have now made a complete switch: their protein shake is now entirely plant-based, and they no longer need to look for alternative protein powders. Maybe you’ll be next? ;)

From Unflavored to Cinnamon: Flavors for Every Mood

Let’s be honest from the outset: tasty vegan protein powder without artificial sweeteners tastes different from the sugar bombs you may be used to. Natural ingredients have a subtle flavor of their own, and our sweetness is deliberately mild. Give your taste buds a few shakes to get used to it. Most people quickly notice how much more intensely they can taste natural flavors again. A banana in your shaker can help with the transition.

    Here’s what we can offer:

And seasonal flavors like Speculoos or Pumpkin Spice pop up from time to time.

Vegan Protein Shakes and more: Shake, Bake, Enjoy

Here’s how to make the classic: Add 30 g of powder, about two heaped tablespoons, to a shaker with water or your favorite plant-based drink and shake well. That’s it: a vegan protein shake without soy. Too tired to shake? Our vegan protein powder works great in porridge, pancakes, or muffins, too. When baking, just plan for a little extra liquid, because plant protein is thirsty.

Speaking of tired: Our protein is also available in a coffee version with an extra boost of caffeine!

And how much protein is beneficial? The DGE recommends that adults consume 0.8 g of protein per kilogram of body weight per day. One or two servings can supplement your diet, but they don’t replace balanced meals. The shake is a sidekick, not the main character. Read more in our article How much protein per day?

Clear Protein: Lemonade instead of a Milkshake

Creamy shakes aren’t your thing? Then say hello to our Clear Protein. Vegan protein powder, clear instead of creamy: Mix it with water and you get a clear, fruity protein lemonadethat tastes more like a day at the outdoor pool than a trip to the gym. It’s made with hydrolyzed pea protein, with no sucralose and all the refreshment.

Clear Protein makes the most sense when a thick shake feels too heavy after a workout, or when you’re craving something more refreshing on hot days, after a run, or after a HIIT session. Or simply when your shaker routine could use a little variety. That’s why many people in our community use both: creamy Vegan Protein for bowls and baking, and Clear Protein for a refreshing drink between meals. Two options are better than one.

What’s the Best Vegan Protein Powder? Our Cheat Sheet

A single seal doesn’t tell you much about whether a powder is right for you. Instead of chasing the next “best vegan protein powder” award winner, take this cheat sheet:

    • Amino acid profile: all nine essential amino acids
    • Ingredients list: short enough to understand without a dictionary

    • Quality: organic certification and lab testing

Our take: For most people, a multi-source protein made with organic ingredients and no artificial sweeteners is the best choice. That’s exactly how we made our product.
